How do you ensure a quality result for custom portraits? Quality reference photos are essential for a great result. I recommend providing high-quality images with good lighting and composition to capture the essence of the subject accurately.

How are prices determined for custom art pieces? Prices vary based on the complexity of the artwork and the number of subjects involved. A single portrait with fewer subjects will cost less than a portrait with multiple subjects. Additionally, the time required to complete the artwork influences the cost, with larger pieces typically taking longer.

How long does it take to complete a custom art piece? The timeline for completing a custom art piece depends on the size and complexity of the artwork. Typically, original pieces can take 2-3 weeks to complete, while larger pieces may require 2-3 months. This time-frame includes one revision and 1 hour of email contact for feedback.

What steps should I take if a photographer took the reference photo? If a photographer took the reference photo, it’s important to obtain permission from them as they own the original copyright. Once permission is granted, we can proceed with creating your custom art piece, which may require a written agreement.

What materials and techniques do you use for your custom art pieces? Most of my custom art pieces are created using acrylic paint on stretched canvas, unless otherwise discussed. This allows for vibrant colors and durable artworks that can last a lifetime.

What options are available for the background of the artwork? You have the option to choose between a simple color background or a more detailed background. If you have a specific vision in mind for the background, we can discuss it further during a design consultation.

How are shipping fees handled for custom art pieces? Shipping fees are determined by the size and number of portraits being shipped, as well as the destination. I offer international shipping, but please note that additional customs fees may apply. Domestic shipping fees include priority mail, delivery confirmation, and insurance. The shipping fee will be requested after the painting has been completed.

When does commission work begin for custom art pieces? Commission work does not begin until payment has been received. Once payment is confirmed, we can start the process of creating your special work of art.

Will you be selling images of my original painting as art prints? Yes, I may sell images of your original painting as art prints. As the artist and original copyright owner, my goal is to create works of art that are celebrated within my community. However, if you’re not comfortable with this process, please send a request before purchasing. Your privacy is important.
