As a Black birth worker and artist, I created this piece to honor the beauty and strength of Black mothers within the lactation space—a space where our stories and experiences are too often overlooked. This art print portrays a serene moment of connection between a mother and her nursing child, surrounded by soft pink hues that celebrate the warmth and power of motherhood. The intricate white lace the mother wears adds a sense of elegance and resilience, a reminder that Black mothers deserve to be represented with dignity and care in all aspects of parenting.
